Challenge: A new membership organization for clean tech entrepreneurs and professionals wanted to launch its online presence, increase attendance at its monthly events, and grow its membership.
Approach: CXM created a website, including an event calendar, blog highlighting member’s achievements, membership form, and member’s area. We also implemented a database to organize members, sponsors, strategic partners, and prospects. CXM provided monthly event support, including creating a registration system to track event attendees and follow up with them. We also established a bi-monthly newsletter that promoted the monthly Cocktail Series, partner events, news, and membership campaigns. Several new programs, including a Round Table for Clean Tech CEOs to discuss challenges and share best practices and an Executives in Residence program to connect seasoned professionals to clean tech startups to provide mentorship in their area of expertise, were launched.
Results: Attendance at monthly events increased from 10-20 people on average to 30-50 on average. Membership in the Meetup Group increased from 220 to over 475 in just 6 months. Relationships with more than 10 community partners were formed, which allowed for cross promotion opportunities. Paid annual membership rose to over 45 members, including 15 Executives in Residence to offer mentorship.
